Welcome!

We are happy and excited to announce that we are now OPEN! Our hours will be from 10:00-6:00 every day. We will be open on Mondays for Senior citizens and health-compromised customers at 9:00.

When we made the decision to close our doors to walk-in customers at the end of March, it was not made lightly. As an “Essential” business, we were permitted to remain open, but we simply did not see the unknown risks being worth taking.  Over the past 2+ months, we have let our care and concern for our staff and community dictate every choice that we have made in our business, and have followed guidelines from the CDC and Allegheny County Health Department along the way.  We wanted to offer a safe way for you and your family to shop, and have been greatly moved by the outpouring of support you have shown by purchasing our Essential Boxes through this difficult time.  As we are preparing our stores for re-opening, things may look a little different and we want you to feel comfortable.

Here is what you can expect when you come back to our family business:
We are respectfully requiring all customers to continue to wear masks in all of our stores for the safety of everyone, in accordance with CDC and ACHD guidelines.  Medical conditions and children under the age of 2 are the exceptions to this policy, per CDC and ACHD guidelines.

Shopping carts, baskets, registers, door handles, counters, and bathrooms will be disinfected throughout the day.

Floor stickers will be placed throughout the premises to remind and encourage the social distancing practices.

We will offer touch-less credit payment options at the registers, and only one of our main market registers will accept cash for the time-being, in an effort to minimize contamination and hand-to-hand contact. Plexiglass is being placed at the registers around the stores for protection as well. We will have a staff member near the main door of the market for any questions you may have.

The left-set of doors will be Entrance only, and the right set will be Exit only, as you face the main Market.  We will also be monitoring the number of customers inside of the stores to make sure we are in compliance with the county guidelines. Please bear with us if we need to ask that you wait before entering. We are learning this process along with you!

For our treasured lunch customers – In an effort to decrease lines and promote social distancing, we will be filling our grab-and-go cases with our most popular made-to-order sandwiches, salads, kid meals, and deli salads in an effort to keep social distancing in a smaller space. We will offer limited MTO sales, as well as hot pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs.  Coffee and tea will be served from the counter as well. We are asking that if you would like a special made-to-order sandwich that you call ahead if possible, and we can have that ready for you to pick up inside of the store.

As for our Soergel Essentials program, we will be offering full packages on Tuesdays and Fridays, and they will open for registration at noon two days prior to pick-up. We are finalizing the plans for our curbside offering, which will include our popular Produce Essentials option. Please stay tuned!

Our Tiny Town and Petting Zoo are OPEN but ask that you maintain social distancing.

Our Strawberry Festival and Firefly Festival have been cancelled for this year.

At this point, we are not planning on offering PYO (Pick-Your-Own) Strawberries. Due to CDC guidelines on crowd sizes, the typical demand we have for PYO, and safety and logistical challenges, we feel it is best to cancel PYO at this point in time. We will continue to work on options and monitor the situation, and will announce if we have any changes.
