Hello from the Farm.  We are pruning apple trees now and are trying to get the larger  trees done first.  If you only have a few trees it would be best to wait at least until March.  If you have peach, plum or cherry trees, April would be even better.  On March 5, 2011 we will be having a free pruning demonstration at 1:00. Come early and have lunch with the pruning crew. Ask questions about pruning, planting, and pest control. One of the big challenges we all will be facing this year is the new stink bug. We will give you an update on what Penn State has to say about its status and hopefully some of the control measures.  So come and join us for an educational and tasty afternoon .
