Mrs. Soergel's Simple
Baked Apples
(Tastes like apple pie filling without the
crust)
6 - 8 apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1-2 teas cinnamon (to your taste)
1 tablespoon water
1 table butter or margarine to dot on top
Peel and slice apples, usually into eighths, to fill a 9" pie
pan, sprinkle w/ brown sugar, cinnamon, water & butter.
Bake in the micro on full power until apples are soft, usually about
20 to 25 min. Or bake for 1 hour at 350o in conventional
oven. You may add raisins or nuts for a variation.
Mrs. Soergel doesn’t measure ingredients so these are
approximations. You may adjust to your own taste.
