It is beginning to look a lot like Spring! With this recent warm spell, it is time to pay attention to what the trees are telling us... GET READY, HERE WE COME! It is important to get your trees pruned and dead leaves gathered from under the trees. The old leaves can harbor certain fungi that will mark up your apples, so removing them may improve your apples' quality.
You may uncover your strawberries too, if you are willing to recover them if and when the temperature declines. We generally keep ours covered until the first of April. By doing so, we decrease the risk of being affected by an early frost. If you are anxious to get started with something, you can plant a few onion sets and they should do fine, otherwise it may be best to hold off for another week or so. Have a great day!
Thanks,
Reed
